Here is another great video by Little Loca, the queen of homegirls, on YouTube. Little Loca is worth watching simply as great entertainment – but in this video she also puts on a top notch demonstration of how to tie a head bandana, ‘homegirl style’. Or 50′s style if you don’t know what that means.

Little Loca demonstrates two different ways of tying the bandana and shows them off too. Probably the best ‘how to tie a bandana’ video on the net, especially if this is the style you’re wanting to use.

The first in what will probably become a series of sport team flavoured bandanas, this yellow bandana, made by Reebok, is especially for all the Pittsburgh Steelers fans. Mainly yellow, with white decoration, this is a striking bandana and is good enough to wear for any occassion – even if you’re not a Steelers fan, it’s an excellent yellow bandana if that’s your colour.

Tastefully subtle, unlike many team merchandise, this yellow bandana is printed with logos, footballs and geometric shapes – for those wishing to express their love for their team, you can tie it around your head, in your hair, and wave it above your head during one of those many goal scoring occassions.

One of my favourite skull bandanas, this one by EgoLogic comes in black or red with a gold foil print. Catch it at the right angle and the gold actually sparkles! If you want to out-cool your buddies, and totally freak people as you ride by on your bike, this is the one to get.

This bandana is designed especially to tie around your face and is big enough to cover your nose mouth and neck. So it’s great protection against the elements as well as being awfully cool. It would be unfair to the new babies of the world to keep them from the consciousness of the fashion of today’s world. Very often we see ads from the skin creams and lotions to lose weight even special clothing for women in their post natal phase, so they can look good. Being a mother is the most beautiful thing that can happen to a woman, but that does not mean that does not mean that she and her flabby belly and bust for the rest of her life must continue, and if the great lady, or in a more offensive tone for the rest of her post ‘ fat ‘ called natal period. Today women get in shape fast and almost fashionable look within no-time of her delivery. In case you didn’t know it, a Tiki is a large carved talisman of humanoid form, which is common among the Polynesian people of the Pacific Ocean. Not looking atall out of place among skulls and zombies, the Tiki is a cool variant on the usual horror-type fare, and is currently enjoying a revival in American Pop Culture.

Ok, not actually a bandana, but a cool use of a bandana design for a cool skateboard deck. I’m thinking, skateboard decks may not get any cooler than this. A classic design with lots of heritage, nicely rendered in full coulour. It’s got a psychedelic thing going on but there’s all the bandana heritage there too. Surely you can’t go wrong with a board like this?

I found this over at the Skateboard Warehouse, it’s by Mystery who give the dimensions as 8.25 x 32.25. It’s made in 7-ply hardwood maple. It comes with free Skate Warehouse Die Cut, True Grit or Jessup Griptape. Take a look, they have some great designs over there.

Just thought I’d post this as well, here is a black bandana for Oakland Raiders fans. In contrast to the Steelers yellow bandana this one features the Raiders logo quite prominently, with the name below. It looks like it might work well as a face cover aswell as a head cover, if you fold along the middle you should manage to get the logo appearing over your nose and mouth.

Also, if you fold it into a wide band, and tie the bandana around your head as a head band, you could manage to have the word ‘Raiders’ showing across your forehead. So, lots of possiblilities fo this one – but probably only for the Raiders fans, although I’m sure there are plenty of you out there.

If you want a quick summary of how to fold a bandana in a few different ways, then you can’t go far wrong with this short vid. I found it on YouTube, it’s called ‘Rap & Hip-Hop Culture: Bandana Folding Styles, and it’s another great lesson by Expert Village. The guy in the video really knows his bandana folding styles – that’s a lot of ways to use a square of cloth!

In this video you find out how to fold a bandana wild west style around your neck or over your nose and mouth, he shows you how to tie your bandana as a head band with a knot at the front, or with a knot at the back like the Eses, the Cholos. He shows you how to fold it as a head piece in the biker style, a skull cap with the knot at the back, and ancient mama style head piece tied at the front. Then he shows you how to use it as a sweat band for your head or a wrist band.

Yes, it’s all the rage among the dog owning classes. Dog bandanas make man’s best friend, his bandana buddy also. Out walking in the park these days you’d be forgiven for thinking it was the dog’s who had bought bandanas for their masters, so they could keep track of them. while they run around with their buddies. Either that or gangs have infiltrated the canine world.

Hey but doesn’t it look cute when you see a great big bruiser of a guy walking along wearing a skull bandana, and you look and see he has his girlfriend’s chihuahau on the end of a pink leash – but he’s been all butched up cos he’s wearing a little doggy skull bandana just like dad? No? Well it would make a good photo, anyway.

Well, in the meantime, here’s a spaniel looking none-too-happy while sporting a red and blue paisley bandana. Some pooches just can’t be pleased…
